Dr. Zahid Chauhan OBE
Dr Zahid Chauhan started working at BARDOC as a trainee GP becoming the Chief Clinical Officer in 2019 and Chief Executive Officer in May 2022. Dr Chauhan was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his "services to people who are homeless” in 2020 and was elected to Fellowship of the College of General Practitioners in 2021. Dr Chauhan is passionate about improving health, education and social care services by driving innovation, improving efficiency and creating opportunities for the local communities.

Dr. Aamna Khan
Dr Aamna Khan is BARDOC’s Medical Director, part of her role is overseeing the clinical team and supporting the doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals. Dr Khan has worked at BARDOC as a GP for a number of years and has been a vital member of the team, supporting the CEO in the day to day running of the organisation.

Dr. Andrew Bracegirdle
Dr A Bracegirdle TD M.B.Ch.B., F.R.C.G.P., F.Inst.L.M., F.Acad.M.Ed. Dr Bracegirdle qualified from Manchester University Medical School in 1988, qualified as a GP in 1995 and has been a working GP with an interest in Medical Education at all levels ever since. He has been involved with BARDOC since inception in 1996. He has been a Non-Exec Director since 1997 and was appointed Chair in December 2021. Dr Bracegirdle holds Fellowships of the Royal College of General Practitioners, Academy of Medical Educators and Institute of Leadership and Management.
Michael Forrest

Michael Forrest
Michael Forrest has significant experience leading and working on Boards including CEO, Deputy CEO and Director of Workforce at North West Ambulance Service and Assistant Executive Director of People and Performance at Tameside MBC. Michael is a Chartered Fellow of Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. Michael is an national and international speaker on Employment Matters and has been a school Governor for 11 years. Michael was appointed as a Non-Executive Director at BARDOC in April 2021 and became Vice Chairman of the Board in October 2022.
Lyn Tallentire

Lyn Tallentire
Lyn Tallentire was appointed as a Non-Executive Director at BARDOC in December 2020. She has spent 15 years working as a leader in senior finance roles in the public, third and private sector. As a fully qualified accountant and Fellow of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants she brings extensive financial and contracting expertise to BARDOC.
Michelle Turner

Michelle Turner
Michelle currently chairs the Primary Care Committee for BARDOC. She is a Health Visitor and District Nurse by profession with 37 years of experience across the NHS, independent, and charity sectors. Michelle has significant executive, non-executive, and trustee experience. She recently retired as Director of Quality and Nursing for the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. She is the Clinical Nurse Director of her health and care consultancy business, which she shares with her husband, Chris. Michelle is passionate about the quality of healthcare services and enjoys making a difference in the care provided and received by all.

Lorna joined BARDOC in 2020, I originally joined as Finance Manager and was promoted to Associate Director of Finance & Contracting in April 2022. Lorna has 30 years of experience working in Finance and over 15 working at a managerial level. With varied roles working within sectors such as Medico Legal, FMCG, Construction & Automotive Industry.
Sathiya Selvaraja

Sathiya Selvaraja
Sathiya is the Associate Director of Clinical Services here at BARDOC, having previously been a Clinical Manager. Before Working at BARDOC, Sathiya worked as a nurse at a number of hospitals and served as a Ward Sister at Manchester University Foundation Trust, one of the largest acute trusts in the UK.

Amy Yates has been Head of Primary Care for BARDOC since November 2021 and has been managing primary care services including GP Practices for over 12 years. Amy has a wealth of experience in PCN working models and KPI management and strives to ensure all BARDOC Primary Care services deliver exceptional care. BARDOC has a wide range of staff working within Primary Care across Rochdale, Bury and Rossendale.

Sara Frost
Sara is our Head of People Services. Having considerable experience in personnel/HR from many sectors ranging from the UK's leading retailers to more recently health, Sara has been instrumental in leading transformation and change to enhance employee experience through her extensive career and believes that a company's most valuable assess is its employees. When not in work, Sara is a massive football fan, and has been a season ticket holder at her favourite club for many years before they were world class!
Andrea Birtwistle

Andrea Birtwistle
Andrea has been the Head of Office at BARDOC since 2022. Andrea provides executive support to the CEO, Medical Director and the wider Executive Management Team. Andrea has over 25 years’ experience in administration, medical secretarial and PA roles across many sectors including the NHS, entertainment, education and care. Andrea’s organisational skills and attention to detail ensures every task is completed to the highest standard.

Beverley is our Senior Operations Manager who has worked for BARDOC for 14 years. Beverley started her career at BARDOC as a Triage Dental Nurse later training as a Call Handler and worked for the Out of Hours Services. Beverley then progressed through BARDOC and became a full time member of staff in our day team. She started as a Supplies Assistant/Governance Administrator to then become our Logistics Manager and now our Senior Operations Manager.

Liz Norris
Liz heads up our business development and oversees people services and operations departments. Having previously held roles at a National level for a major homeless charity as well as various roles across the North west working in youth, community and housing settings, Liz has a wealth of experience working to eradicate inequalities and fight social injustice. As a former amateur Boxer and now a coach, Liz champions gender equality in sport and holds a professional Boxing cuts woman licence.

We aim to improve the patient journey by decreasing waiting times and unnecessary trips to hospital, help free up the time of ambulance crews as well as reduce pressures on the A&E departments.
